Innovative technology, noble design: EMPHASER presents three new, one-of-a-kind amps with revolutionary BASH® amplification technology.
Best of both worlds – BASH® combines the compact form and the efficiency of the digital class D amplifiers with the distinct sound advantage of analog amps. BASH® stands for high power output paired with high end sound.
In contrast to the conventional Class D amplifiers, the new EMPHASER power amps are equipped with a DSP-based power supply controller that is an integral component of the BASH® circuitry. With an intelligent current/voltage limitation, this direct DSP controlling makes it possible for all models to drive impedances from 4 ohms down to 1 ohm – and all of this with a total efficiency of 85%.

The analogue Class A/B amplifier technology stands for excellent sound with minimal energy efficiency. The newer Class D based amplifier technology, on the other hand, is convincing with its high efficiency; but because of its circuit design, the damping and distortion factors as well as the S/N ratio are worse than in Class A/B. The BASH® technology combines the advantages of the circuit designs Class A/B and D: The basis is a power supply that is controlled by digital signal processing and is responsible for the high efficiency. The actual amp output stage, however, is working in Class A/B mode, thus securing the best sound possible.
