E15NEO-COMP Competition Driver

For competitive use only – EMPHASERs 15“ hard core driver is made to win SPL competitions. A clear statement, no more and no less, the driver is made with selected components consistently developed further, for maximum acoustic pressure and ultimate efficiency:

• solid, deep-drawn die-cast aluminum basket
• phenomenal, strong 216 ounce (= over 6 kg)
• Neodymium magnet made up of 6 segments
• solid copper short circuit rings working as induction brakes (Faraday & Kellog)
• firm, very light compound fiberglass cone with carbon dust cap
• wide surround made of polyether, glued and stitched to the cone to reinforce the structure
• four large spiders (2 x 2 Quad) made of Nomex
• double 3.5“ voice coil with 2 x 2 ohms electrical impedance, 4-layer wound voice coil made of CCAW
• front pole piece CNC lathed, back pole piece in an extended design with large core ventilation holes
• push terminals for cables with large cross sections

The features of the card core driver speak an unmistakable language that is also shown in the performance data: In a suitable bass reflex enclosure, the short-time power handling of E15NEO-COMP is over 10 kW. The resulting B/L of over 40 from the extreme magnet system (with double voice coils connected in a row = 4 ohms) is just as unique as the sensitivity of 93.5 dB with an X-max of 20 mm! E15NEO-COMP is a clear statement to anyone who wants to experience powerful and solid bass sounds.
